Dark under eye circles and some home remedies!!!
It is often said that eyes are windows to the soul. But the most visible and expressive part of one’s face has its own set of problems like dark circles, pigmentation and puffy eyes, which when not taken care of could be a real turn off.
Dark circles are mainly caused due to improper blood circulation. Since the skin under the eye is very delicate, the capillaries around the eye are very thin. Blood cells passing through these capillaries often tend to ‘leak’ out into the surrounding skin. Enzymes in the body break these stray red blood cells, releasing blue-black components, which are visible through the thin and transparent under-eye skin.
Bad food habits, lack of sleep, tiredness, stress, heredity, hormonal changes could all contribute to dark circles. Deficiency in iron and vitamin B could also lead to dark circles.
Try these simple home remedies for your dark under eye circles:
*Drink at least ten glasses of water everyday.
* Eight hours of sleep is a must for all of us, especially for people having dark circles under their eyes.
* Close your eyes and cover your eyelids with slices of raw potato or cucumber for 15-20 minutes.
*Grate a cucumber, squeeze to take out its juice and refrigerate. Make a mixture of lemon juice and cucumber juice and apply around the eye for 10-15 minutes.
*Make a paste of grated cucumber, add it to fresh yoghurt and make a uniform paste. Apply it on the dark circles, keep it for 15 minutes and wash it off.
*Apply a paste of turmeric powder with pineapple juice for dark circles under the eyes.
*Applying crushed mint around the eye also helps.
*You can also apply almond oil under eyes.
